A virtual ‘Panel Session on Comparative and International Education Society (CIES)’ will be held on 08 April 2020 from 21:00 – 23:00 JST. This virtual panel session, jointly organized by UNU-IAS, UNESCO, and UNESCO Institute of Lifelong Learning will highlight “Generating transformative change through reframing education within and beyond school settings.” There will be four presentations, including the Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) with multi Stakeholders approach, the International Satoyama Initiative (ISI) research, UNESCO Happy School project and transversal skills, as well as research on digital kids in Asia and the Pacific. UNU-IAS Director Professor Shinobu Yamaguchi will chair the session and Ms. Maki Hayashikawa, Section Chief of Inclusive Quality Education, UNESCO Bangkok will serve as a discussant.
