The Regional Roadmap for the SDG 4-Education2030 Agenda in Asia and the Pacific (2015-2030) aims to facilitate coordination, cooperation and partnership among all stakeholders at the regional level and to serve as a strategic guide to Member States in implementing and monitoring the SDG 4 targets until 2030. |
The roadmap provides an articulation of the region's intentions and actions toward greater efficiency in implementing SDG4, synergized cooperation and collaboration among key stakeholders within and beyond the education sector and systematic monitoring and reviewing of SDG4 towards improvement and progress - ultimately the achievement of SDG4-Education2030 in Asia and the Pacific.
The roadmap consists of a set of regional milestones organized into five phases, starting from 2015 and ending in 2030. It should be stressed that these are all 'indicative' timeframes, which could serve as a reference to all regional stakeholders of SDG4-Education 2030. Depending on national education plans and the overall progress of SDG4-Education 2030 in the region, the overall regional milestones will also be continuously reviewed and updated.
