Regional Online Launch: ESD for 2030 in Asia-Pacific

ESD for 2030 in Asia-Pacific Region

UNESCO invites you to join us for the launch of ESD for 2030 in Asia-Pacific Region.

Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) supports efforts to equip learners with the knowledge, skills, values and attitudes needed to contribute to a more inclusive, just, peaceful and sustainable world. The UN General Assembly, in its Resolution 72/222, recognized ESD as 'an integral element of the SDG on quality education and a key enabler of all the other SDGs'.

As lead agency on ESD, UNESCO has developed a new framework (2020-2030) to enhance the global efforts on ESD: Education for Sustainable Development: Towards achieving the SDGs (or ESD for 2030), upscaling and building upon the last 15 years of ESD. UNESCO have created an Roadmap which provides guidance for Member States and other stakeholders for the implementation of ESD for 2030.

The online regional launch will be held on Thursday 19 November 10:00 – 11:15 (Paris time).
