Ready to learn and thrive: School health and nutrition around the world

This 1.5-hour virtual event will feature remarks by UNESCO’s Assistant Director General (Education), UNICEF’s Director of Education and Adolescent Development and WFP’s Director of School-based programmes and a dynamic panel of country policy leaders, experts, academics, teachers, and young people.

 

It will showcase how countries around the world are investing in learners’ health and well-being through school health and nutrition. Participants will receive an in-depth account of the results of the new report on the global status of school health and nutrition, a collaboration between UNESCO, UNICEF, WFP, FAO, GPE and WHO, with support from the Research Consortium for School Health and Nutrition. The audience will have the opportunity to submit questions for discussion as well as share their own commitments to advancing school health and nutrition in their respective contexts.
